As per the guidelines stipulated by Central Vigilance Commission, New Delhi and University Grants Commission, ‘Vigilance Awareness Week – 2017’ was observed in College of Nursing, Adesh University, Bathinda from 16-11-2017 to 21-11-2017 under the able guidance of Prof. Shridhar. K.V, Principal, College of Nursing and Mrs. Betcy Mathew, Professor, Department of Mental Health Nursing.
The vigilance week is observed every year keeping in view the spirit of fighting the social evil of corruption with the mission to launch a systematic campaign against corruption and to educate the students and staffs about the dangers of corruption and sensitize them about its evil consequences.
The theme for this year’s Vigilance Week was “My Vision – Corruption Free India”. Accordingly, a series of Programmes were conducted.
On 16th November 2017, Prof . Shridhar. K.V, Principal requested all the staffs to take e-integrity pledge and encourage all students, their family and friends also to take e-pledge.
Mr. Sunil. M.B, Assistant Professor, demonstrated how to take e-integrity pledge by using the hyperlink (http://pledge.cvc.nic.in/) and to get Certificate of Commitment (Provided by Central Vigilance Commission) to uphold highest standards of honesty & integrity and to follow probity and rule of law in all walks of life to all staff and shared the link among all staff and students.
On 17th November 2017, Mrs. Betcy Mathew, Professor instructed to all class teachers to administer ‘Integrity Pledge’ to all students on the occasion of Vigilance Awareness Week 201.
An Essay Competition was organized on 20th November 2017. The topic for essay competition was “How honesty is the best policy”, 30 students from different batches were participated in the competition. Prizes were given to the winners.
On 21st November 2017, a special documentary film on vigilance, produced by Central Vigilance Commision was played for M.Sc (N) and PB.B.Sc (N) Students.
All Faculty members and students participated in the Vigilance Awareness Week 2017 with lots of enthusiasm.
Mrs. Betcy Mathew, Professor, Dept. of Mental Health Nursing, coordinated and organized the program with other committees of college of nursing & student nurses association in a smooth way
