REPORT OF ENGAGEMENT OF GENDER CHAMPION ACTIVITY

As per the guidelines issued by the ministry of women and child development, ministry of human resource development and university grant commission for engagement of gender champion by school and colleges across the country, our college of nursing engaged following gender champion guidelines to make the young boys and girls gender sensitive and create a positive social norms that value the girls and their rights.

SELECTION OF GENDER CHAMPION:-

After the observation and evaluation of work done by the gender champion , college authority and nodal teacher took the decision to extend the championship of Mr. Annayat Ulla for the academic year 2017- 2018. The another champion Ms. Gurveer kaur completed her graduation  and relieved from the college so in place of her next senior member  Ms. Simrat Kaur M.Sc (Nursing) first year is appointed as gender champion .

Lamp-lighting & Dedication Ceremony April 2019

We the college of Nursing, have celebrated lamp- lighting & Dedication ceremony on 30th April 2019 at 10:00AM. Our chief guest for the day was Dr.(Lt. Col.) GPI Singh Vice Chancellor, Guest of Honour Col. Jagdev Singh Registrar, Dr. Avtar Singh Bansal Medical Supdt., Dr. Harkiran Kaur, Dr. Pandit Rao, Dr. Rajiv Mahajan , constituent college principals and other eminent guests. We welcomed them and started our programme with a shabad.

After that our new buddy nurses has taken oath with full dedication, followed by a short  A.V on Florence Nightingale which was edited by Prof. Karthik. S.K was projected. Annual report was presented by our Respected Principal Sir Prof. Shridhar K.V.

Our chief guest Dr.(Lt. Col.) GPI Singh Vice Chancellor has address the gathering with their motivational speech. Academic prize distribution, overall sports champion for the year 2018-19 was announced i.e Navjot Singh (Boy) and Cultural star performer for the year 2018-19 was Ms.Harsimran Kaur.

Guest performance was performed by our lovely students i.e Bhangra (Jaskaran & group) and Kashmiri Dance( Dhumaal) by Masrat & group. We end the programme with Vote of thanks at 1:00PM. After Lunch we have started the next session i.e all cultural events i.e Kathak & fusion, Umar Farooq song, Haryanvi Dance, Dance on Incrediable India, Motivational speech by our student Mr.Anayat, Sami, Mimicry , Kashmiri Dance and at last not least Giddha. At the end best performance was announced and that was Bhagra (Jaskaran and group).

All the cultural events was organised and coordinated by Prof. Karthik Aiyappa Sathyan S K, Mrs. Kirandeep Kaur, Mrs. Simranjit Kaur, Mrs. Veerpal and the Cultural committee students of College of Nursing.

ACTION TAKEN REPORT ON INTERNATIONAL DAY OF YOGA – 2018

As per the guidelines stipulated by Indian Nursing Council, Statutory Body under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, College of Nursing, Adesh University, Bathinda celebrated the ‘International Day of Yoga – 2018’ on 21st June 2018.
The ministry of AYUSH has taken up the preparation for celebration of International Day of Yoga with greater and more active participation of youth during the current year celebration.
Accordingly, College of Nursing and other constituent colleges of Adesh University, Bathinda, observed the 4th International Day of Yoga on 21st June 2018 by conducting the following activities.
On 12th June, common yoga protocol (Hindi and English) developed by some of the most accomplished yoga gurus of India was circulated among staffs, students and their friends and family members
On 12th June 2018, to support International Day of Yoga, staffs, students and their friends and family members were requested to give a missed call on 97118-55005.
On 21st June 2018, Sports Committee, Adesh University, Bathinda, organised and celebrated International Day of Yoga at Adesh University Auditorium.
Staffs and students of College of Nursing and other constituent colleges of Adesh University were participated in the IDY.
Mr. Radhe Shyam Bansal, Yoga Guru, Yoga Seva Samittee, Bathinda invited as chief guests for the IDY.

Ms. Moon Bansal, Yoga instructor, Ms. Simran, Yoga Instructor, Mr. Gurwinder Sharma, Social Worker, Mr. Manish Pandey, Social Worker, Master Vansh Bansal, Junior Yoga Guru were invited as guests for IDY.
Col. Jagdev Singh, Registrar, Adesh University, Bathinda, was invited as guest for IYD.
Mr. Radhe Shyam Bansal, Yoga Guru and his accompanying members demonstrated Yoga Asanas as per Common Yoga Protocol for 45 minutes duration.
The Registrar, Adesh University, Staffs, Students of College of Nursing and other Constituent colleges of Adesh University, Bathinda took yoga pledge “ I Pledge to make YOGA, an integral part of my daily life” and practiced yoga as per the instructions of Yoga Guru.
At the end of the session the staffs and students felt, yoga as a way to yield the maximum health and wellbeing rewards. Yoga has the ability to change our perspectives of life. More keenness for life, genuine and natural sense of feel good.
All Faculty members and students participated in the ‘International Day of Yoga – 2018’ with lots of interest and enthusiasm.

ACTION TAKEN REPORT ON OBSCENITY AND INDIAN PENAL CODE (IPC) 294

As per the guidelines stipulated by Dean Student Welfare, Adesh University, Bathinda regarding educating and counseling students regarding obscenity, by students at college playground and Indian penal code (IPC) 294. College of Nursing, Adesh University, Bathinda conducted education sessions for all the students regarding obscenity, by students at college playground and Indian penal code (IPC) 294 on 08/03/2019.

College campus is public place, many students are seen in positions that are publically unacceptable, this sort of obscenity, is violation of IPC-294 under which the culprit can be published with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 3 months or with fine or with both.

Accordingly, College of Nursing conducted education sessions on 08/03/2019 regarding obscenity and Indian penal code (IPC) 294.

Students were educated by using audio visual aids like power point and playing you tube videos on projector.

An information copy regarding IPC-294, was also displayed on the notice board for students awareness and copy of same was shared among all the batches ‘what’s up’ group.

All the students of college of nursing were educated except First year GNM, first year Basic B.Sc Nursing and 3rd year Basic B.Sc Nursing, since students are currently posted in clinical areas, at present information copy regarding IPC-294 was shared with ‘what’s up’ group of these three batches. Once these three batches are returning back from clinical posting, teaching session will be organized regarding IPC 294.

At the end of the sessions all the students understood regarding obscenity and IPC-294, they also advised to communicate information with their friends.
